EPITAPH - Merrit Malloy
"When I die
Give what’s left of me away To children
And old men that wait to die
And if you need to cry
Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you
And when you need me
Put your arms Around anyone
And give them
What you need to give to me
I want to leave you something
Something better than words
Or sounds
Look for me In the people I’ve known
Or loved
And if you cannot give me away
At least let me live on your eyes
And not on your mind
You can love me most
By letting
Hands touch hands
By letting
Bodies touch bodies
And by letting go of children
That need to be free
Love doesn’t die
People do
So, when all that’s left of me
Is love
Give me away"
SCR Vox will be set up in good sightline to Studio, but not too far from Mains. We may have a lot of takes, so fleet use of Mem Loc Window and documentation is extremely important.
Final delivery will be via Soundcloud.
Please note that when I edit details into this post I will flash a comment to kick through your notifications. Stay on top of it, this is your session. I am Producer.

Noel Ford on the Road with Dinosaur Jr.

Noel Ford sends a report from Sicily, on the road with Dinosaur Jr. Noel came in to MARS, producing Jane Lee Hooker for Multi-Track class last semester.  I'm stealing this from his page:

"J with purple Hendrix Marshal. Dino show was great tonight. Lots of cool jamming, sorta like Hawkwind meets Can. Never heard them do that. Really cool."

J. Mascis at the stacks. Mics look 2 b Sennheiser 409/609s

That's a lot of energy aimed at the vocal mic position.
Noel just turned around from touring China, Taiwan and Korea.
N. American tour geared-up, back to Asia by Halloween, finally in NY in December at Terminal 5.

Call For Voice Recording Engineers

We will be recording a voice over of MDT faculty member Adria Firestone. This will be a high-end recording. I am looking for a crew of 3-5 to make this happen. Multi experience preferred. The recording is to be used for a special application, not a class.
Please comment below to sign up. You do not need to be currently enrolled in a sound class.
